Just read a **great** article on corporate support for breastfeeding
moms--talks about the benefits to moms, babies, and the "bottom line" when
moms breastfeed longer. Mostly comments about CIGNA's program, which
include LC consults, support for pumping, etc. Although one comment was
that companies hope lactation support helps moms return to work sooner,
the article included comments that longer leaves increase breastfeeding
rates. Picture was of a mom (in a suit) breastfeeding a 1-yr-old (who
happens to be a twin)!
Kudos to the Des Moines REgister (quoted source for the article), the
Tacoma News Tribune (where I saw it) and CIGNA.
