I for one would like to do my part in saying thanks: I was moved by
Kathy's e-mail that detailed the personal commitment (read: time,
money, and energy) she has expended without receiving so much as a
fare thee well in return. Her work has been a touchstone and a
catlyst for my own work, not to mention my thinking. Some people
really are concerned with the needs of children -- Kathy is among
that select few who have cultivated in themselves the
compassion, courage, intensity, and intellect to fight the good
fight. I am thankful daily for your work and even your piddling
posts at heart -- I might as well say so, esp. since you are perhaps
not getting much feedback as to the worth of your efforts.
And, no, I am not just saying so because I want to work with you in
the future. . . I'd be perfectly content to respect from afar, just
the same!
