I talked to some drs today and one took on my low milk supply Mom of a
premie and will probably prescribe Reglan. I was enthusiastically
supporting this as the baby is actually getting sicker (been put back on a
ventilator) and Mom is trying hard but I though if Reglan works it might
make a difference quickly and that will give her a much-boosted need. Any
comments?
Plus... I was about to suggest fenugreek but the NICU nurses warned me
against 'suggesting herbal remedies' because since I'm doing this in a
hospital setting it will seem like the hospital is recommending these
unproven remedies. How do others of you deal with this in similar
situations? Do hospital based LCs ever recommend fenugreek, blessed
thistle, etc.?
TIA Anne Merewood
