I am working with a new mom - and I need help ASAP as she is talking
about weaning!!
She had a ductal yeast infection about 2 weeks ago that was treated with
diflucan (baby treated too). At that time, had lots of pain after
feeding...but had been painfree for the past 3 days. Last night, pain
started again - only in one breast. Starts right after the feeding is
done and lasts 2 hours......baby is 2 months old and thriving!! Mom's
nipples look fine -
Any suggestions you have are appreciated!! I suggested compresses, pain
meds, etc but she is talking about weaning - at least from that side, as
she is miserable.
