Please include this response to question regarding solvent abuse. For some
reason I was unable to send it directly to Garry Dormody. Judy Schreiber

Subject: solvent abuse
Regarding Nola Moulton's request for info on solvent abuse, I'd recommend a
book entitled, "Environmental Toxicology and Phamacology of Human
Development", edited by Sam Kacew and George Lambert, 1997, Taylor &
Francis publishers. It includes two chapters which may be of interest:
Chapter 5 (that I authored) on the transport of organic chemicals to
breastmilk, and Chapter 6 on solvent abuse and developmental toxicity by
Georgieanne Arnold. If you cannot find a copy of the book, send me your
address and I'll mail photocopies of these chapers. Sincerely, Judith
Schreiber, New York State Dept of Health.
