Hello, everybody. Back again from going no-mail over the holidays.
It's amazing how much extra time you have, when you don't spend half an hour
every day staring at your computer screen.
I was persuaded to switch the thing on again by a friend who is
clever enough not to have a computer. But she urgently needs the following
information:
1. Statistics on breastfeeding in Europe.
2. Conditions concerning working and breastfeeding in the European Community
(or Union, or whatever it's called these days).
I realise that the best place to get this information would probably
be WHO. But she needs it urgently, and I doubt if you can get anything
urgently out of WHO. If anyone has any bibliographical references or other
information, she could go from there.
Thanks,
Anna Lowenstein

P.S. Talking about holidays, we drove from Italy to Germany, via
Switzerland. On the way we stopped at a place on the motorway (in
Switzerland), where absolutely everything was made by Nestle: the coffee,
the sweets, even the *yoghurt*. Does that company own Switzerland?
