The idea here is *not* to try to get the baby to drink from a bottle. A
waste of time and energy and all it will do is cause everyone
frustration.
During the day, the baby can eat solids off a spoon or off a finger.
Some babies this young can learn drink from a cup, but this is actually
the most difficult age for a cup, babies often accepting more easily
younger or older than 4 months of age. But the emphasis is on eating
solids, mixed with breastmilk if the mother or babysitter desire.
It is *not* necessary for the baby to take *that* much fluid while the
mother is working away from the home. The liquids can be made up later
once the mother is home and nursing.
