Joy is right -- for only a small select sample of Western children have good
health and nutrition been combined with attachment parenting style
upbringings involving normal durations of breastfeeding, cosleeping, lots of
body contact, etc.  Those would be the kids you see at LLL conferences!!
For much of the world where attachment parenting is the norm, they also have
to deal with less than adequate nutrition and lots of diseases.  Where the
diet and health are better, most children get formula and sleep in cribs!
