An added problem with the approach of "refusing" medication is
that it can be added to the list of the mother's symptoms.  Particularly
when we deal with psychological/emotional symptoms I think that it is
very hard for a mother to insist on breastfeeding-friendly medications.
Her refusal to take medications can be interpreted as another symptom of
the severity of her illness.
