Ilene wrote, "if mom has an emergency C-section with general anesthesia the
recommendation is to pump and discard for 24 hrs?  Just didn't sound
right to me".  Quite right, Ilene, mom can put baby to the breast as soon as
she wants.  In fact during a BFHI Assessment I have seen nursing staff
position the baby and assist with latching *before* the mom woke up!  Just
to impress the Assessors I'm sure, and we were!  Baby was overjoyed too!
