I was contacted this evening and requested to inform you of a pending
change in state legislation.

The Child Day Care Council is a state organization appointed by the
governor.  Current legislation states that day care centers must permit
breastfeeding on the premises.  There is a proposal to revise this
existing legislation by removing the requirement that day care centers
permit  breastfeeding at the center.

It has been requested that written protests be sent to:

The proposal to be referenced is Proposal 22VAC 15-30-630I (stricken).
There will be two public hearings:  18 November in Fairfax, VA and 20
November in Richmond, VA.  All written comments are to be received by 29
November 1997.
