I have seen many babies who are still 80-90% breastfeeding (rest solids)
for kcal at 10-12 months old. I personally do not think it is very unusual
in a happily breastfed baby. Dr. Wooten, who wrote the book Taking Charge
of Your Child's Health states that 2 years on breastmilk alone is
acceptable and has advantages. (I believe most children are excited about
eating by this time though!) Definitely do not force the foods-just offer
and allow the baby to sit on mom's lap when she is enjoying her nutritious
foods (remember the power of role-modeling!)
