For my daughter's high school fund raiser, parents were asked to donate a
product or a service. I donated a one hour lactation consult (prenatal or
postpartum). At the parent's dance/silent auction a woman (with the highest
bid) bought the consult for an older son's pregnant wife. The very sweet
sounding mother-in-law called me, I made up a nice "gift certificate",
outlining the options for the consult. The MIL gave the gift certificate to
her daughter-in-law as a Thanksgiving Day present.
