the cleaning/boiling lisa describes is exactly what is done by donors to the
milk bank here, except that the vinegar is just an occasional thing rather
than each time. the water is hard here, and the mineralization can be a
problem. i can't imagine why this wouldn't be adequate unless there were some
way the plastic could get microscopic contamination of some kind. i think only
the prion dispute could produce a candidate for that.
