Dr. Jack and anyone else who can provide info:
I recently asked for info for a client who was undergoing an MRI and was being
given "gadolineum" as the contrast material. She has had the procedure and
subsequently been diagnosed with Menieres Disease. The ENT dr. wants to put
her on Dieuretics (for the increased fluid in the inner ear) and valium to
help with the sometimes severe vertigo she experiences. She is going back to
them to ask specefics in terms of dosages and names. The ENT's feeling is
that this disease can be seen in pregnancy due to the increased fluid load and
also feels that the increased fluids in her system during lactation may be
contributing to her symptoms. He is suggesting that she stop breastfeeding so
she can take the meds and also reduce her fluid load. Your thoughts.........
Thank you in advance for your help!
