I'm a bit too cynical (or realistic) to see this as good news, but Ross is
cutting 250 jobs, 100 here in Columbus. "Intense competition, slowing market
growth rates and more demanding customers are just a few of the challenges we
face every day. At the same time, our business expenses continue to increase."
Yeah, I suppose that assaulting every pregnant woman in the country with
multiple boxes of formula and cheesy newsletters *would* get expensive. The
reasons given here: gradual price erosion, and more private-label brands of
infant formula flooding the market.
