I would just suggest to the mom to have sitter use a cup. The baby has
made his preferences clear. This will actually turn out great for the
mom because babe will get his "suck" needs met at moms breast. I never
suggest the use of a bottle for a babe to use when at a sitter unless
mother asks specifically about bottle use. I always suggest cup use
first.
This is just is so complicated.
So many baby's just get confused about when they can have mom & when they
can't. Mom is dealing with separation issues. Sitter is frustrated
because babe wants their mom & breastfed babes tend to bottlefeed slowly
which is an imposition to most sitters. However, there are many babes
that just seem to be able to feed both bottle & breast beautifully.
Many moms using bottles tend to wean early, just a fact of a busy working
mom's life. They tend to use bottles more & more on the weekends, they
get too busy to pump, and then before you know it baby is weaned. And
the mother.... she just wants to give her baby breastmilk, no matter the
delivery method.
yes, I have been a working mom, with a great employer. I never used
bottles, but found sitters close by so I very rarely had to miss a feed.
My way of dealing with all those issues.
