I have been working with a mom for three months now. She has a Lactina
pump, and pumps three times while at work. We have gone over M-S-S,
sleeping with baby, relaxation to help with pumping, medications (there are
none), etc. I asked her if she would mind if I posted her situation to
Lactnet. She said YES PLEASE DO. This mom is a single mom, lives with her
parents, and is trying to do the best she can nursing her daughter. She is
wonderful. The problem is, I just do not how to help her anymore. I have
used all of the cards in my deck. Do any of you have suggestions for her?
She would appreciate anything at this point.
Below is her info:
- Katherine is 4&1/2 mos. old
- She is in daycare 8 hours/day, and gets approx. 12-15 oz. formula
to supplement the pumped breast milk.
- We breastfeed exclusively when she's with me.
- I DO drink lots of water, don't drink caffeine, try to eat right,
but don't get much connected sleep (it's in 1-2 hour increments).
- I'm taking 9 Fenugreek and 6 Blessed Thistle capsules/day.
- Also, don't know if age matters, but I just turned 40 (shhhhh).
