I confess to being rather confused by the immunization question.
According to the US Centers for Disease Control (1994) "neither killed
nor live vaccines, affect the safety of breastfeeding for mothers or
infants" Rubella is included in the list of compatible vaccines.

Furthermore the La Leche League Breastfeeding Answer Book goes on to say
"it is often recommended that she be vaccinated immediately after giving
birth" This is based on the AAP Committee on Infectious Disease- 1994.
(p. 516)

Could someone please clarify this for me?
