Case study of 1.
When my baby was 1 1/2 and I was having regular periods she got a bad cold
and for 2 days she did nothing but feed at the breast, then continued to
feed much more than she had been, for a few more days. When she felt better
and went off to play, I could have fed every baby on the block. I skipped
the next menstrual period, and the one after that was delayed.
I also didn't resume menstruating until my babies were eating a lot of solid
foods. For some women frequency, at any time, can supress lactation.
