Dear Jan, I wonder if in other cultures and in other times it was simply
called "feeding", because there was basically one way to feed a baby and no
one qualified it.  I know historically "hand" fed meant other milk in other
ways.  Unfortunately today we have to qualify it with "breast" or "bottle"
because BF is not the norm.  Sincerely, Pat in SNJ
