How discouraging! The last few weeks I've had a Mom that "had" to d/c
BRF b/c she's on Vasotec and Lasix, another Mom had to "beg for the
right" to BRF b/c babe had GI surg and Dr. had to know exact intake, and
now an RN mom/MD dad are being told by the "BRF supportive" Ped that if
she "has" to BRF then she needs to pump and give per bottle and/or
supplement with ABM. This Mom had implants, obviously, BRF will be
difficult!!!!! She pumped 60 ml/pumping on day 3. Babe had a 10% loss
in 2 days (repeat c/s), was 6 oz under BW at 2 wk visit, but had gained
6 oz in 1 week. Mom is going to come in to weigh prior to MD visit next
wk b/c she knows he is "going to give her a hard time".
How do we deal with that? I'm having a hard time keeping my mouth shut
and I'm going to get in trouble!
