  the only mother i have seen iwth this had an abscess.... i think that you
might want to look at "stripping" ( from a breastfeeding review article)...
to try to remove as much as possible of the "string" and the cause. the
technique involves massage from the chest wall out... i think that it may
have been discussed on lactnet...
