Hi Patricia,

I am combing through thousands of Lactnets and emails.  I did not see a
response to this yet, and though it is obviously too late for this
particular mother, the mother can breastfeed while she is having the
xray.  Why would non radioactive iodine be of any concern?  It isn't.
Though concentrated in the breastmilk, there is still very little and a
little extra iodine over the short period of time when its concentration
in the milk will be increased should not concern anyone.
