My 18 year old had his wisdom teeth out last Fri. For the sake of science,
he agreed to use a bag of frozen vegetables on one side, frozen vegetables
with a cabbage leaf on the other. After the first day, he stopped using
cold at all, but continued putting cabbage intermittantly on the one side.
The cabbage side had visibly less swelling (tho neither side was all that
puffy), and was less uncomfortable. I just wish I could have gotten him to
use the cabbage more than he did. He kept refusing the pretty pink scarf I
could have tied it on with...
He's recommending cabbage to his friends with pending extractions, but they
all think he's nuts. Sigh.
