I second Naomi Bar-Yam's suggestion re: a consent form to serve as a
reminder to mothers that there IS adifference between bottle-feeding and
breastfeeding. Many years ago, a consent form that emphasized the value of
mother and baby staying together overnight was created and published (in a
back issue of JHL). You might want to try to find it. It was done at St.
Joseph's Hospital (Bellingham, WA) by Jeanne Brotherton. Reason? To help
nurses and mothers when mothers thought babies should go to nursery.
Oucome? It helped both, and far fewer mothers then requested baby leave her
room. That hospital now has all LDRP facility.... :-)
