I would suggest for future use in using ice cube trays with lids, that
after milk has frozen, you "pop" the cube out & place in plactic freezer
storage bag with dating.  This way you get smaller, hopefully less
wasteful amounts, no dabbing as you mentioned, plus eliminating freezer
burn.  Yet I wondered about thawing.  I guess put the cube in a small
tippee cup (toddler cup with suck straw) & let it thaw  - in
refrigerator??  I don't use or recommend bottles if at all possible, so I
would like to make sure that thawing occurs properly.  I would assume you
would place cube into a bottle (would cube fit through "mouth" of
bottle?) & then hold it under running hot water to thaw quickly.
