Part of the teaching we give parents with the varicella vaccine is the
warning that a small percentage of those vaccinated will break out with
lesions/pox and a small percentage of those will be contagious so if they
do break out with any lesions consider the child contagious.  Could this be
the concern?  If this is the concern it would seem to be a contact issue
more than a breastfeeding issue.  I will email Dr Atkinson at CDC tomorrow
for a definitive answer and post his response when I get it.
Unfortunately, I bet this mom is already been vaccinated and is in limbo.
