geographic tongue has no relationship to picky eating, and to my
knowledge, no medical significance. toddlers do live on air and
sunshine, tho there are no 'studies' many grandmothers can tell you that
this is true. when the boy needs other nourishment, he will take it.
there are few if any eports of toddlers who malnourish themselves by
choice.

one consideration - he may have some tactile defensiveness... rare, but
it happens, a child refuses textures and many other oral stimulations
(tooth cleaning, etc.) this can be remedied thru 'sensory integration'
oro-motor thchniques and can be accomplished under the guidance of an
occupational therapist trained specially in sensory integration. If the
child shows other signs of tactile defensiveness... not liking to
cuddle, whiny ou irritable behavior or out of control behavior with
other sensory stimuli, this would be worth checking out........ however,
picky toddlers are much more common than this degree of sensory
defensiveness.
