I just was listening to Liddy';s radio talk show, and I have NEVER heard a
talk show host speak so passionately about breasteeding! (and I listen to
lots of talk radio).
Mr. Liddy was speaking about the responsibility of parenting your child, and
sited a current study proving the impact of breastfeeding on preventing
childhood diseases and on improved IQ through high school. He even started
berating parents who have children and put them into daycare centers - he said
"breastfeeding your child and parenting that child should be your top priority
in life, not your career. And if you feel guilty about not breastfeeding,
then good - you SHOULD!"
I couldn't believe it. And two hours before these comments, I was driving
around town and heard Dr. Dean Edell (sp?) also praising the wonders of
breastmilk.
Suppose the word is getting around?
Hoping so,
Brenda Phipps, BS, IBCLC
