Dear lactnetters
A question not really related to breastfeeding, but I have found no answer
otherwise.
Saccharose is sometimes used as an analgesic in newborn and young children.
Does someone knows :
- how long is this analgesic action ?
- until what age can saccharose be used as an analgesic ?
- would it be useful to give saccharose to a child when he is still in the
doctor's waiting room when he does have for example a vaccine ?
Thank you a lot (and sorry for beeing out of the subject of breastfeeding)
