Menotropins (Pergonal) are like HCG. Probably completely destroyed in
the stomach and therefore the baby will not be affected. Probably too
large also to get into the milk.
Doxycycline is a tetracycline. It gets into the milk in small
amounts, and tends to be bound to calcium. If it is bound to calcium,
it does not get absorbed, and breastmilk has plenty of calcium.
Leuprolide (Lupron) is not active when given orally. Same as above.
No problem then for the baby when mother is taking these medications,
though it is possible that the hormone changes which occur may
decrease her milk supply, perhaps significantly.
