Royce, not a suggestion to getting the baby to breast without the shield, that may yet take a while. But is mom pumping after the feedings to make sure there is sufficient stimulation of the breasts, and to increase supply that might be diminished due to use of shields?
Also, that way, mom could supplement the EBM instead of using that awful other stuff. Mom in all honestly can say that baby is being supplemented.
Further, she can supplement with cup, peridontal syringe or SNS, so the kiddo doesn't have to get used to a bottle.
