Hi all. I did get those ice cube trays with the lid. I thought it was a
wonderful idea. Then I tried to use them. If you couldn't fill all 12
cubes at one time, the milk oozed from one cubicle to its neighbors, so you
end up with a dab of milk in about 6 of the 12. If, like I did, you pump
only once a day (not working, just for when I had to be out w/o baby) you
can take a few weeks to fill a tray. Then you have milk from the last
pumping that you have to throw out weeks before it is "expired" because of
that dab from the first pumping. (I know it doesn't expire, but in a
freezer/fridge unit you can have the milk exceed the recommended storage
limit if you don't use it very frequently.) I found the trays messy to use
and once in a while I still got freezer burn on the cubes. I eventually
gave up on them and went back to using my previous method. I don't know if
my experience is typical, but for what its worth, that's what it was.
