Does scalding the milk diminish any of the immunitive or nutritive value?

Yes, scalding the milk reduces the immunoprotective qualities of the milk
and I would not want to do this for a baby whose sole source of breastmilk
is pumped milk.

However, the mom that called me pumped to store for the baby but MOSTLY
breastfed and need to store milk for emergencies.  As the baby refused the
milk and the next choice would be formula, better the scalded milk with
some change in nutritive and immunoprotective qualities than the formula, I
think.

Some moms have found that their milk smells sour after only a few hours in
the refrigerator - it seems they may have more lactase in their milk???  
These moms find they need to scald the milk immediately then freeze it.  If
they wait, the milk will smell (and probably taste) scalded.  Iīm not a
specialist in this area - just go by what moms tell me and then give them
recommendations that seem to work - reducing the risk of formula intake or
the loss of the precious pumped milk.

When we started the discussion last time we went over all the different
types of containers and it may be that some babies just donīt like their
milk stored in bags but will accept frozen milk from bottles (glass or
platic) or special bags... but in our case we tried all those changes and
nothing worked until we started scalding the milk.
