Hi everyone,
I am posting this for our local LLL leader. A mom (currently nursing her
one-year-old) has just been told her in-utero baby has spina bifida, and will
be having prenatal corrective surgery done. The baby will be delivered later
via cesarean section. Any words of wisdom for her, both concerning the
baby's condition, and how to protect and promote breastfeeding (especially
for the baby) throughout the medical procedures all this will involve?

I'd also like to know which epidural(s) are the ones to forego in order to
avoid sucking difficulties.
TIA,
Christine
