Not being a health professional or bf counsellor as such, I usually stay
well clear of these discussions, but I think I'll throw my $0.02 (Cdn) on
yeast. When my daughter was 10 months old she/we developed a nasty case for
which my naturopath recommended acidophilous (sp?) powder and a product
called Nutribiotic, which is an extract of grapefruit seeds. We both took
acidophilous, and I took the Nutribiotic, about 20 drops in a glass of water
2x day -- it's not recommended for babies. The yeast was completely gone in
about four days. I have never seen this product mentioned on Lactnet, and
wonder if some of the herbalists on this list know anything about it.
