I just wanted to call everyone's attention to several articles recently
published. I am still in the process of reading them. The articles are
definitely thought provoking. In the US, both journals should be readily
available in a local Medical Library (not sure about availability outside the
US but reprints should be pretty easy to obtain).

Dungy, et al, Hospital Infant Formula Discharge Packages, Do they Affect the
Duration of Breastfeeding?, Archives of Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine,
 July 1997, vol 151, 724-729.

HIV-Related Breast-Feeding Recommendations, American Journal of Public
Health, June 1997, Vol 87, 904-905.

Alternatives in Less-Developed Countries, American Journal of Public Health,
June 1997, Vol 87, 926-931.

Findings from the 1988 National Maternal and Infant Health Survey, American
