Jackie:  Here's another instance where breastfeeding is not felt to be
important enough to invest a little effort in it.  The mother needs to
take vitamin D and calcium supplements, and her calcium levels may need to
be monitored, but why should she wean?  It is so sad that her hcp's don't
consider the potential illness to both her baby and herself from untimely
weaning and let her decide whether the extra calcium supplements and blood
tests are worth it.  She has my sympathy.  Alicia.
