I'm still behind on my reading, but I haven't seen any responses to
Sheila's questions:

<<My questions: Of the women treated for infertility and who also suffered
low
milk production pp, did they have an alteration in prolactin levels before
treatment? Hyperprolactinemia, from various conditions, can also bring a
woman to fertility treatments. Do these women also have difficulty
breastfeeding after clomide treatment?>>

I'm not nearly as experienced as some on this list, but of the women I've
been aware of who had infertility due to hyperprolactinemia (are there
other causes besides prolactinomas?) they've typically been treated with
bromocriptine (or maybe something similar). I have not known of any that
were treated with clomid, and don't know why they would be. I have not
known any to have problems with milk supply. In contrast, they often have
wonderfully ample milk supplies!

Right now I have a woman in my corporate lactation program who I expected
to be having problems with milk supply--back to work full-time + mandatory
10 hrs. overtime/week, husband unsupportive of the working, wants her to
quit NOW not at the end of the year as she plans, absolutely exhausted and
stressed. As she told me she gets 25 ounces in her two pumpings/workday
she mentioned that the reason for her previous infertility was a high
prolactin level. In her current situation, what a blessing!
