There have been a couple of posts this week about building up a milk supply
and I have to tell you all of a new product that I have found. It is called
More Milk. It is a tincture that combines nettle, blessed thistle, and
fennel-- all well known galagagogues. It was recommended to me by a former
client, who had returned to work and was having trouble with supply. She
had used fenugreek with some success, but a friend gave her some More Milk
and her supply was boosted greatly, and rapidly.
I've been using it for a few weeks along with fenugreek, but I'm going to
try it alone soon. If you want more information on it e-mail me, or if you
think it is for the list, let me know. We've just grown comfortable with
fenugreek, so I don't know if you want to encounter something new.
I'm using it with a mother who is 5 months pp and hasn't nursed since 3
weeks. This will certainly be a test. I have used it with three other
mothers who needed to increase their supply in the newborn period, and the
outcome has been most favorable.
