hi, this message is concerning dr lawrence's preference of the scissor
hold b/c the c-hold causes the nipple to point up. i hope it isn't already
a redundant message, i wanted to check my resources b4 writing. according
to LLL breastfeeding answer book, the c-hold does cause the nipple to
point upwards, but THAT IS PART OF ITS' PURPOSE! there are many instances
whenit is important for the nipple to be pointed more upwards towards the
roof of themouthto help stimulate proper 'milking' of the breast and also
to prevent some nipple soreness. i think it is still worth teaching this
hold over teaching the scissors hold. deborah danzesier
