Look what was on the Reuters news today. It is a longer article, and no
other mention of breastfeeding, but I was pleased that they even said it.

NEW YORK (Reuters) -- A panel of international experts has concluded that
antibiotics should not be used routinely in all cases of childhood ear
infections.

Although antibiotic treatment is the standard of care for acute otitis
media, which is caused by a bacterial infection, there is not sufficient
evidence that the drugs prevent repeat infections or complications, the
researchers wrote in Saturday's issue of the British Medical Journal. More
importantly, the overuse of antibiotics has given rise to bacteria that are
resistant to treatment.

The experts suggest that many cases of ear infection could be prevented if
more women breastfed -- mother's milk contains crucial immune-system
boosters -- and if children were not exposed to tobacco smoke at early ages.
