For a nursing mother anticipating radiation treatment for breast cancer:

Does it make sense to wean from the involved breast before treatment
begins, figuring that radiation will do more damage to active cells and
that longterm bfing function may be improved if a quiescent breast is
irradiated? Or doesn't it make any difference, and mom can nurse right
thru the treatments?
