Dear Sally, I can see where the insurance problem is coming from. Their
computer tells them it is a single dose. Have pt call the ins co and/or
pharmacy dept of her ins co. Explain that this is a multiple dose tx. PDR
defends multiple dose tx for diflucan, not just one dose for vag yeast.
Co-pay should be fixable. It might be pharmacist is keying it in wrong.
Tell her to protest-vigorously! It's amazing how that works with ins
cos!!!
personally, I mentally assess just the way you outline, surface - short
duration, deep br pain - long standing and use two different tx plans.
