We acquired a puppy when my first child was about a year old
and the puppy became very sick with distemper. The vet didn't
think it would survive but we did discover quite quickly that the
only food this puppy would take was my milk (from a saucer )
I don't know what dogs milk is like but the puppy survived and
grew to be strong and healthy !  Come to think of it he was also
a very smart  dog !!!
