I hope you all are talking about placing the SNS tube through the nipple
shield and not the  breast shield.  I have heard this done successfully
before.  I have a difficult time visualizing doing this with the breast
shield.  I will never forget though a father asking me when I was explaining
to his wife how to place the breast shell/shield on the breast "how does the
baby nurse through that breast shield?".  Have a good day all.
