Dear Terry,

Thanks for your answer re "protein spots". At first I thought I had my
answer but as I read further, was disappointed again.

The spots I'm referring to are single, they do occur in the 1st week but
only when babies do not appear to be feeding well, ie. no wet diapers, or
damp diapers with urates, few stools, and significant wgt. loss ie >7 %.

Once you get the baby feeding well, they disappear and there does not
appear to be any residual "freckle".
