Margery & any others following this thread: I am so delighted to hear these
comments! I have a thought on the ICEA "LC expert" thing: When you
consider what they require one to go through to be an ICCE childbirth
educator, it amazes me that they view LC credentialing in such a seemingly
trivial manner. (Please, this is not meant to flame childbirth educators -
I am one & belong to ICEA!) I *do* strongly feel that such a 2 day bfing
course is an excellent idea for CBE's - to augment their CB classes, help
them weave wonderful bfing info throughout their series! BUT to use this
course as a springboard to calling oneself an "LC" is obviously not prudent
for all the reasons already mentioned.
