In our NICU we provide our breastfeeding moms with "conical tubes" for
EBM storage. These tubes are sterile and are primarily used by our lab
for sterile specimens. They are a hospital charge item so they can be
charged through the hospital billing system, but now they are not
charged by our hospital. The tubes hold 45 mls, have a screw top that
is very secure and prevents any leakage, they also have an area on them
for moms to write name, date, and pumping time. I'm not sure if I can
post the company name on the LACTNET, so I'll hold off for now until I
find our otherwise. You can e-mail me directly and I'll be gald to give
you the company name.
Susan Jones, RN, IBCLC
